The Accord Group has, over the years, established a close network of course trainers and coaches who are mediation professionals with expertise in a range of disciplines such as commercial, workplace, personal injury, construction, franchising, environmental and family mediation.
Head of Faculty
David Newton
David Newton is an international mediator, conciliator and facilitator of business, government, public and organisational conflict. His background is as an industrial relations lawyer, head of a corporate legal department and former Secretary General of an Australian dispute centre. He has been a mediator since 1987 and has managed over 800 commercial, government and community disputes with settlements totalling in excess of HK$5billion with special experience in franchise, construction and general commercial disputes.
David is a member of the Panel of General Mediators of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and a member of various court mediator panels. He is the Australian Cinema Code Conciliator, Dispute Resolution Adviser for the Australian Wine Industry Code of Conduct and holds four appointments by the Australian Government as Mediation Adviser, Dispute Resolution Adviser and Ombudsman.
David has conducted mediation training in Hong Kong, China, Australia, New Zealand, Cambodia, Malaysia and the Philippines. He is a member of the Training Faculty of the New York CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution.

Salli Browning
Salli Browning is a highly experienced mediator, facilitator and teacher. She has mediated a large volume of disputes, developed ADR systems and policy in a variety of areas, designed and managed industry schemes and developed mediation training.
She is a former CEO of one of Australia’s leading ADR Centres and a past President of the Board of the Australian Dispute Resolution Association.
Salli has taught widely in the area of mediation and dispute avoidance, primarily in the areas of commercial mediation, local government and workplace mediation. She has taught in Hong Kong, Australia and Malaysia.
Peter Ho
Peter is an experienced quantity surveyor and a practicing mediator, arbitrator and dispute resolution adviser. With extensive experience in workplace and construction mediations, Peter specialises in cost management, strategic planning, final account negotiation and dispute avoidance.
Peter is a former Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the Hong Kong Mediation Council and a former member of the Mediator Accreditation Committee of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre.
